I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist practicing in Illinois, Indiana, Missouri, and Washington D.C. With a background in behavioral neuroscience and a psychology degree from Indiana University, my interest in relational health was shaped by personal and professional experiences supporting individuals and families navigating chronic illness. Witnessing how adversity impacts the systems we live within led me to pursue a master’s degree in Couple and Family Therapy from Purdue University, where I was trained in systemic therapy.

Committed to providing high-quality, effective care, I’ve sought out training in EMDR, Pragmatic Experiential Therapy for Couples, Gottman Method Couples Therapy, Hakomi Mindfulness Somatic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, ERP, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction. I also serve as a clinical supervisor for graduate interns and early-career therapists, and sit on the advisory board for Purdue’s Couple and Family Therapy masters program. As a Clinical Fellow of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, I continue to pursue opportunities for growth, ensuring the people I work with receive thoughtful, evidence-based, and compassionate care.

My Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative. My philosophy is to meet clients where they are at instead of trying to fit them into a specific approach that may not work for them. This means that what therapy will look like for you is going to be unique to you and your needs. It is something we will develop collaboratively.

As a systemic therapist, I practice through a relational, interactional, and contextual lens. I utilize elements from existential, narrative, emotionally focused, and experiential therapy. I include concepts from Jungian psychology, mindfulness based stress reduction, somatic based therapies like Hakomi and EMDR, couples therapies like Gottman method, relational life therapy, emotionally focused couples therapy, and pragmatic experiential therapy for couples.

I offer up the opportunity for a different therapy experience. Would you like to go for a walk, a run, or meet out in nature? Would it be easier to express yourself through movement or art? Would you like me to meet at your office before your big presentation? Would a house call suddenly make therapy an option for you? Let’s make it happen. We don’t have to be limited by what has become “normal”. I prioritize your goals and needs above “tradition”.
